The Rancourt Story
Marc Rancourt started working as a technician helper at a dealership at 17. He then started doing side jobs out of his garage. He met his wife Cheryle Rancourt when he was 23. She would spend her time with him in his garage watching him work on cars. She would run errands for him to get parts, paint, paint materials, propane etc. In Feb 2001 Marc Rancourt opened a small shop on Cypress North Houston that had one bay door. His wife Cheryle joined him two months later April 2001. She managed the office, accounting, customers, and running any errands he needed while he worked on the cars.
In December 2006 Marc and Cheryle purchased Fairfield Autocenter on the feeder of 290. In one weekend the body shop was moved into the new building and opened January 2007 as Rancourt Collision & Automotive Repair. They decided to keep the employees of Fairfield Auto Center because they felt it would be a good marriage between the mechanical industry and the collision industry. They were right! Today, because of the community, Rancourt Auto Center has become one of the most successful independent automotive facilites in the greater Houston area.
The Rancourt’s realize they owe their success to the residents of Cypress and the surrounding areas. It is for this reason that for the last 12 years, during the Christmas Holidays they have chosen a family that is in need of transportation. Rancourt Auto Center will repair, paint, and make sure this vehicle is mechanically sound and will also purchase 6 months of auto insurance for this family. The Rancourt’s feel that good ole customer service is almost non existent nowadays. They pride themselves to go over and above for their customers and are extremely grateful for the customers that choose their facility to repair their vehicle whether it is mechanical or collision repairs. Marc has and always will believe that every car should be fixed the right way. He will not let any person or insurance company dictate how to fix a customers car in order to save money. He will go out of his way to make sure that any car that comes to his facility will be fixed properly without any shortcuts. He still works on cars in the shop everyday because its his passion. His wife still works in the office everyday. The Rancourt’s have been loyal to there customers and community and forever will be.
